DURO-A - DIN 6353
Power chucks with through-hole.
Power chucks are chucks for cutting and/or grinding machining on machine tools or machining centers. In contrast to manual chucks, the clamping jaws are opened and closed automatically. A hydraulic/pneumatic cylinder is controlled by the machine and actuates the opening/closing mechanism of the lathe chucks.
The Duro-A is a three-jaw chuck with a through-hole that can be clamped automatically (hydraulically) by a CNC machine. It is mainly used for turning cylindrical and disc-shaped blanks.
